Split Your Airbnb Bill With Up to 16 People

Planning a New Year's Eve getaway somewhere cool with a bunch of friends? Splitting the bill for your Airbnb rental is about to get a whole lot easier.

The lodging reservation service at present lets you easily split up the bill among up to 16 people. In a blog mail service, Airbnb said this new characteristic "volition ease the financial burden on group trip organizers, and convalesce the pain for travelers to front costs associated with booking.

Here's how it works: The person organizing the trip will pay their share when they request to volume, and the reservation volition be put in an "pending payment state." The organizer volition so exist able to invite friends to pay by adding their names and e-mail addresses, or sending them a direct link. Friends will have upwardly to 72 hours to log on to Airbnb to pay their portion, or the reservation will be cancelled and everyone who paid volition go their money back.
